COAL MINING HISTORY DAY – GET INVOLVED!

A family friendly and social occasion

Date: tbc

Venue: tbc

The group's recent November Open Meeting was a productive one with exhibitors offering support for the forthcoming anniversary event marking fifty years since the closure of the colliery. We are currently in discussion with a local venue so DATE, details and planning meeting will be announced shortly.

In the meantime, we would like to invite individuals, organisations and groups with interest, information or experience to showcase and man their exhibits in this community event, celebrating the rich coal mining heritage of the area as a whole and all generations who worked in the industry. It promises to be a family friendly social occasion.

We look forward to hearing from you.
