In July 2016 a whole weekend of events took place which was supported and hosted by Severn Valley Country Park.

- Geology Activity with local experts from “Geologists in the Geopark”
- Alveley Village Band and highley Highley Colliery Band performed over the weekend in the Marquee loaned by Heads Potatoes
- LA Recordings, Film Footage: Morse's Level and display
- Alveley Weighbridge and Coal Mining Heritage Exhibition
- Archive material and photographs from SVCP, Ray Davis (Sally Bunn's Archive Collection) and Mandy Burgess and a small display of Alveley Historical Society's Archive material.
